Rare animals and their extinction / List of some animals : Animals which are about to extinct from this planet which will disappear forever is called rare animals. There are several reasons behind this problem. Animals are being extinct from our planet because of we human beings.

Reasons behind animal being rare

Change in climate: climate change is affecting several animals mostly terrestrial animals are in danger.

Disease  : due to over population over pollution is taking place and due to harmful substances are making animals unhealthy. Mostly amphibians are in danger due to pollution on both water and soil.

Lack of food:  Starvation and hunger are another cause of animals being rare. There is lack of food and due to disease and pollution it effects in food chain process.

List of some animals which are rare are

Red panda: small mammal from native to eastern Himalayas and southern china. It has reddish brown fur and a long tail its population is about 10,000 it is about to extinct soon.

Borneo, Bornean orangutans: they are only found on the Island of borean their population is decreasing by 70%

Ili pika: 7 to 8 inch long mammal which is about to extinct.  This animal is also mostly found in china. Less then1000 are left

Giant otter: they are only found in North America. There are only few 1000 left in the wild.

Amur leopard: it is found only in the Amur river of eastern Russia. It already got  extinct from China and Korea.

Darwin’s fox: Named after the famous scientist Charles Darwin, who discovered the species in 1834, Darwin’s fox is found only in Chile in two places: the Nahuelbuta National Park and the island of Chiloè. Dark in color with short legs, this carnivorous creature is active mostly at twilight and dawn.

Saola: it is often called Asian unicorn it is rarely seen mammal. Both male female have horns.

There are several ways to protect and save animals which are in danger. Never buy products made from endangered animals skins. Many wild animals are vanishing from earth day by day so we must protect them and keep them safe.
